California hospitals near breaking point amid Covid surge

Nearly 3,000 people in the U.S. are dying every day, on average, of Covid-19.

The outbreak is pushing hospitals to the brink in Southern California, where health-care workers are rationing supplemental oxygen and asking ambulances to wait hours before dropping off patients. A new "vaccination super station" has opened in San Diego to help vaccinate more workers, and a doctor is working a single-dose vaccine that won't need cold storage.

Please stay home as much as possible!
