So I'm waiting in the lobby of Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo. A man sits across from me and says, "You have two cellphones."

I nod my head. He adds, "They don't have much technology in India."

Dude must think I'm Indian. I said, "Sure they do."

He continues, "India is very filthy. Mexico is filthy too." I guess he's not sure what ethnicity I am.

I try to shift the conversation since I know the guy will keep talking even if I ignore him.

Me: Do you like baseball?

Him: Yeah!

Me: I'm from Chicago so I'm rooting for the Cubs.

Him: In the ALDS?

Me: N LDS

Him: N is my least favorite letter in the alphabet. (This must be my lucky day).

Me: Why is that? (Giving him the benefit of the doubt)

Him: Isn't it obvious? There's a word that starts with N.

Me: Night?

Him: You know Jay Z? He calls himself Jigga Man. He found a way.

Me: (I ignore the guy, but he keeps talking). If you don't like the N word, maybe you shouldn't talk to me.

Him: Oh OK. I don't like to use it coz it inflames people. I don't like it when people use the N word.

So I'm pretty desperate to end the conversation without leaving my comfortable spot with an outlet to charge one of the 3 phones on me. I stare at the guy, but he won't leave me alone.

Me: Actually, besides the N word, I hate the F word and the S word. I hate cursing in general. Since I'm Asian, I'm a BRUCE LEE fanatic. So I'm into martial arts and judo. I'm the wrong person to inflame.

Him: Ok I'm leaving! (BOOM)

Point of the story: Even if you don't know martial arts, play the Asian card to the hilt in desperate times. Bruce Lee forever. Wataaaah!
