Chesca and I spent Easter at my sister's house.

Chesca came from college to care for her mama for the day. She went back before the Golden State Warriors playoff game started in Houston.

I hadn't really watched much NBA basketball this year (although I recorded the Warriors games if it weren't on TNT via Fubo). But it's playoff time so I watched from the jump until the buzzer.

Tonight, Jimmy Butler showed why he was my favorite NBA player not on the Warriors prior to this year's trade. He's just a winner; he does everything that's needed to help the team win the game. Butler is exactly what Steph and Draymond needed.

They shut down Houston, and came through to close the game. GSW leads 1-0!

On the way home, Columbus Pkwy (my usual route) was blocked off due to a big accident. I had to turn around and take the freeway home. Good thing I stayed as long as I did at my sister's house.

The Warriors defeated the Rockets, 95-85 tonight in Houston. Stephen Curry led the Warriors 31 points to go with 6 rebounds and 5 three pointers for the Warriors, while Jimmy Butler III contributed 25 points and 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Alperen Sengun finished with a team-high 26 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals for the Rockets in the losing effort. The Warriors lead the series 1-0.
